It’s BBQ season and this recipe is a great remix on the classic sweet potato fries. You won;t be able to stop eating them.

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • Coconut oil
  • 1 jalapeño
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 scallion thinly sliced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 clove of garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 375.

Cut the potato into large wedges. Put in a bag or a bowl and mix with coconut oil, season with salt, pepper ,ground cumin and coriander. Scatter the sweet potato on a sheet pan so that none are touching. Roast in oven, turning occasionally until they are nicely golden brown.

To make the tahini sauce: Put the minced garlic in the lemon juice in a small bowl and let macerate for 5-10 minutes. Add the tahini and salt and pepper and mix well. Thin with water until you get the consistency of heavy cream.

Once cooked fully, drizzle with the tahini sauce, sprinkle with the chili, scallion and cilantro.
